Teachers Strike, Halloween Party, Resume

Last Weekend, I was in London! I did not get back until Monday Night, so I did not go to school Monday. I went Tuesday. Tuesday was a normal day, and Wednesday was a half day, I had a piano lesson. Wednesday, at 1:10 PM, I went down to the water and walked along the water to Blackrock and back for Pokemon. I was outside of the wall that separates the Water and the Dart tracks.

I went back for my Lesson, and I was home by 5 PM. Thursday, we did not have school because the Teachers were striking for Equal Pay. They have 7 strike dates planned but they said they hope it can be resolved before they have to strike 6 more times. It was fun to have a fun day off. I walked 25 Kilometers on Thursday. I ran 5 of them, and walked about 20 for Pokemon Go. Im trying to run every night to train for the 5k that I have on November 16 for Mark Polluck.

I walked all the way down the Liffey, to Grand Canal dart station.

Friday, we had a Half day because a lot of people were going to the Schools Hockey match or somthing. It might have been another sport but I do not like sports so I did not go. I was out at 1:10 PM and I went to Dun Laoghaire to go Pokemoning.

Today which is Saturday, Me, Levi and Oma walked down by the Liffey to see a new food market place. It was called Temple Bar Markets. They had good food there. I got a Chocolate Crepe. It was delicious.

We walked back. My Dads flight got Delayed because there was a fire on an Airplane right before he was going to fly over, so his flight got canceled. He will be here Sunday at about 10 AM. He is not going to get a rental car because we wont really need it, we will just use the Buses and the Dart. We are going to go out to eat tomorrow I think somewhere new!

Also, we are having a Mini halloween party Monday night, and Chance is coming over, and we are probably going to walk down town somewhere at night and Ill have my costume and we can have subway.

GIANT BLOG (Oxford/ Eye of London)

Yesterday, we went to Oxford, and I forgot to mention the Bodleian Library and the Great Hall. The Bodleian Library is a Library in Oxford, it is one of the Oldest Libraries in Europe. They have 14 million Books, (not in the specific library we went in which was Duke Humfreys Library) because back a long time ago, they signed a thing that said they would get a copy of every book ever printed for free, and it is still working to this day. They said they get a Truck full of 5,000 Books each week. They said since anyone can publish books they get a lot of bad books. But for free. All free copies. Also, all of the old books in the Library are dusted every 4 years and they are protected by a folder. They are kept very well preserved. Here are some images of Duke Humfreys Library (which is part of the Bodleian Library Collection)

Duke Humfreys Library (Where we went)

Also, we went to the Great hall, which is where they filmed the Harry Potter movies for the Great Hall. They use it to eat for Oxford, but it is very beautiful!

Monday, I was still in London. I would have School, but I got to skip Monday to be in London. Monday, we got up, we had Eggs for breakfast. After that, we got all of our things out of the room because we had to be out of the room by 11 AM. We went to put them in a place that holds bags for people, and then we started to walk to the London Eye. The London Eye is basically just a Huge Ferris Wheel, but each of the pods are closed all around by glass. About 20 people can fit in one pod. Here is a picture of the London Eye.

It goes higher than most of the Buildings in London, including Big Ben. The weather was not that nice out, it was cloudy, but it was not raining, just a bit dark. We went on it, and I got some pictures with the Eye, and when I am at the top of the Eye.

At the Top of the Eye!
Under the Giant Ferris Wheel!

It took about a half an hour to get around it. It never stops moving, it is just moving very slowly so people have time to get off and get on when a pod is at the bottom. It was really fun! There was also a lot of good Pokemon since the Eye was right next to the River.

I also got some good pictures with Big Ben. I ran over to it and took some pictures.

It was so cool to see up close! We next went to Buckingham Palace. Oma wanted to walk in front of it just to see it, but we walked up to it and there was a ton of people standing around it, and we had no idea what was going on. It turns out that The Changing of the Guards takes place every 2 days and there are a ton of people, so there was a parade, and we could not get anywhere.  We were there for about 90 minutes then we just decided to go back on the Subway to somewhere else.

We went to Trafalgar Square, and we had some food. I shared a Burrito with Levi, and we each got yogurt and cereal in it. We had a Harry Potter Walking tour at 1:30 PM. Me, Levi and my Mom went on that. We got to see where they were in the last movie, where they came out and almost got hit by the 19 bus in London, and it was really cool to be right where they filmed it.

Me and Levi went to Trafalgar Square and got to climb on the Lions that were by a huge monument.

The last place we went was the Tower of London. We got to walk on the walls around it, and see the whole thing.

We got to see a lot of Horses armor, people armor, different guns, weapons and really beautiful swards. We also got to see the Crown Jules. It is Londons Royaltys crowns from the past. Right now we are in the Airport. We have a flight in about an hour, and I get home at probably 12:30 past midnight. I have to go to school tomorrow. Im excited since I only have Tuesday, Wednesday and then Friday for school. Thursday, the Teachers are Striking so we dont need to go to school.

Weekend in London!!!

This weekend, we flew out to London. We left Friday night at about 10 PM, and our first real day was Saturday. We walked around a lot in London, and we took a bus around London, and we got to see a lot of famous houses, and especially Big Ben. We got right up close to it. We also got to see the Eye of London which is basically a huge Ferris Wheel but each pod is made of glass and it goes really high up. We are planning to do that Monday.

Yesterday, we went to Kings Cross Station in London, and it is where Harry Potter filmed Platform 9 & 3/4. We got a picture in front of a cart that was going through a wall!

At Kings Cross Station!

Here is a Picture of the London Eye and Big Ben in the Background!

We got to see Big Ben on the Bus!

Today, we got a Bus this morning to go to Oxford and see all around Oxford. The bus took about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Oxford. Once we got there, there were a lot of cool shops, and all of the buildings were big and old. There were places we could not go because it was for students only but It was really cool!

We got to see some of the places that Harry Potter was filmed! We went to this place where Draco Malfoy was turned into a Ferret! I remember this in the movie and we went there. The tree was there and it was exactly like in the movie and it was awesome! We also went to some other places like where Ron learned to dance with Professor Magonigal for the Yule Ball.

Here are some other pictures from Oxford.

We went to a place to eat after Oxford, and I got a Hamburger, so did Levi. Oma got Fish and Chips. It was really good food, and Emma Watson had been there before, I think that is where the Harry Potter cast went when they filmed in Oxford after they were done for the day.

We also got a lot of good Pokemon in Oxford. There were so many more Pokemon there. There would be 3 at once and we would never have time to stop. I have so many Ratatta and Pidgey candies now! (And Drowsee)

Tomorrow we are planning to go to the Eye of London which looks like this. It is on the water.

PSATs, Rocket Art Done!

Today was Wednesday. I had a half day, but today, I would be taking the PSATs. I did not have to wear a Uniform to school today, because I would only be going to Registration at 8:50 AM, and then walking up to a church and taking the PSATs. Most of the people in my American Studies class were taking them also. Chance was also because he is in my History Class. We all walked up Booterstown Avenue to the Church where we all took the PSATs. The Church was very small only about 40 students could fit in there, and that's about how many there were taking the PSATs. Every body was asking me questions about what it was about and if it was hard and everything and Its just cool to be in a different perspective where I have already like taken the PSATs like twice so this is just normal to me but everyone else doesn't know what is coming. Just like I did not know what the Junior Certs were.

I signed a thing saying I cant tell about what the test was on, so ill just say that it had reading and math, and it took about 3 hours in total. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying that. We all got done at about 1:22 PM. I went down to a store by St. Andrews. I got a muffin a croissant, some Doritos and a bottle of water. I ate them in the Piano building and watched YouTube until I had my Piano Lesson. It was a good lesson, then I took the bus home.

Also, Monday I got to see my finished Rocket that I made out of clay. I had glazed it with glaze, and it turned out really well. When I painted the "Fire Engine Red" on the Rocket it looked pink, but last Monday after I got it out of the oven it was really red and it looked really good. Here are some before and after pictures.

When I was painting on the colors, the Purple looked light pink, and the Red looked Pink also so I painted a lot, but when it went into the oven, it came out better than I thought it would. It looks awesome! I am going to give it to my Dad for his birthday when he comes over to Ireland October 29. He will make it in time for halloween.

Weekend Blog!

Friday, I had my Outward Bound after school. We were no longer doing golf, but now we are doing "General PE". We played Hockey with a ball and a puck, then we played handball for the last half an hour. I finished my Donnie Darko thing mostly in English on Friday. Math, we just watched a video. History, we read more of the Great Gatsby. Friday night, Fiona, and Liadan came over. They live close to us, and they are our new friends and neighbors. We had chili and pizza for dinner Friday, and I had made my own Garlic Bread.

Saturday, I worked a lot on homework, and my History 500 word article. I spent most of the day indoors. My Mom went to an Indian restaurant, and I had subway for dinner. Sunday, We walked to the St. Stevens Green Shopping Center to get some Halloween things for Levi and Me. I got a cool Axe from a store in the Mall, and we went to TK Max to look for shoes for levi. I topped up my Phone because it ran out of the unlimited monthly pay, so I topped it up at about 4 PM. Also, I went pokemoning at 7 PM until 8:30 PM. I got a lot more water type pokemon like Magikarp, Slowbro and Psyducks.

Tomorrow, I have badminton, and I have 2 hours of Visual Arts, and I painted my Clay rocket last week with the glaze and it should be done today. I also am going to go to London on Friday, and miss Monday of next week. I hope I can get a lot of cool Video footage there.

Work Experience, 4 Free Periods!

Wednesday, was a short day. I had English, Spanish, Math and History. In History, we started to Read the Great Gatsby in class, in English we worked more on our Donnie Darko report thing for our October Results. Math and Spanish were just normal and Easy. I got out of school at 1:10 PM. I was going to walk around my school area to go Pokemoning, but suddenly it started to kind of rain, so I went to a small nearby store and got some Fiji water, and a chocolate croissant, and walked back to the Piano building. I did not feel like going Pokemoning if it was raining. Instead, I ate my snacks and watched YouTube in the area outside my Piano room that has chairs and is like a waiting area.

3 PM came and it was my lesson time. We talked about my songs, my 2 Bach pieces and the 2nd movement of my Moonlight Sonata which is my favorite song at the moment. After my lesson I took the Bus home.

Thursday is my worst day of the week because I have 2 Periods of Applied Math, and 2 periods of Drivers Ed, which isnt that bad, but Mr. Shelvin teaches all of those and he was not here today, so I had a sub in 4 hours today, 2 of Applied Math where we just used the computers for 80 minutes, and then 2 periods of Drivers Ed, where we watched The Big Bang Theory, I did not watch it, I had a laptop so I worked on some of my English Donnie Darko thing that is due sometime next week. I had MUN after school. I did not want to go because its just me sitting there for an hour. I did make one statement in the whole hour, but it was a horrible statement and it was just not fun. I then took the Bus home, and we had Burgers for dinner which was nice. Then me and my Oma went to Tesco to get some more food. I got 4 bottles of water for .88 Euro which is nice because at St. Andrews they sell one bottle of water for 1 Euro so I saved like 4 Euro there. I also got a big bag of doritos.

I caught an Electabuzz by the Tesco and that was fun also. Then I went home, and Im going to prepare my next YouTube video I will probably Upload Saturday. Then I will record Saturday the Outlast 2 demo for YouTube, and I have seen videos and it is really scarry.

Dun Laoghaire Pier, FOUND NEW SUBWAY!!

Monday, It was just another uniform wearing day. I had all my normal classes, English we are working on evaluating Donny Darko, a movie that we watched. For the Month of October, there are these things called 'October Results' in St Andrews. Its basically a Grade for History, English, Math, and Spanish for the overall October. For Math, we have a test for our October Grade, for Spanish, it is a combination of our homework assignments, for History, its a 500 word essay we are writing, and for English, its a 5 Task page where we evaluate Donny Darko.

Monday night, I worked on "The Project of Me" until about midnight to get it finished. It was hard work but it turned out really well, and I put a lot of effort into it. Tuesday, (today) we had to get on the dart at 1:20 PM, to go to Dun Laoghaire for a presentation. The Whole Transition Year went, and it was about car safety, and they told about sad crashes and how it can ruin your life and all of that stuff. We got out of that Presentation at about 2:45 PM, and from then on, we were free to go. I stayed at Dun Laoghaire and walked out on the Dun Laoghaire Pier, because it was pretty and a good day, and it was by the water so I could catch some Water Type Pokemon. This is an Arial View of Dun Laoghaire.

I went out on the Left Pier. It is the Bigger one. It was really far to walk but it was really nice! Here are some of the pictures that I got!

I took the Dart home, and on the way home, I went down different stairs at the Pierce Street Dart Station, and there was a Subway right there! That means if I take the dart to or from school I can get subway really quick! Also, My halloween Costume should be here Friday!

"The Project of Me" Halloween Costumes!

This weekend, we had no plans so I had a lot of time to work on  "The Project of Me" The scrapbook had 40 pages. I probably will not use up all of them. I was working on "The Project of Me" and I talked about The Glasser Family, and The Cairns Family and how we get together at Christmas, and everything else. I talked about my old schools, and Grand Rapids, and I started my topic in my Project about 'Traveling'. I have a lot to talk about. I am going to do a page on each place I have been. Here are some Pictures of my Project!

'
I also went Pokemon Go Hunting Saturday, and Sunday morning for about 1 & 1/2 Hours each morning. I caught a lot of Water Type Pokemon like Magikarp, Psyduck, and Starmie. During Saturday, I worked on my Project a lot, same with Sunday. We did not do anything. We stayed in the house mostly both days. Both mornings I had scrambled eggs with pepper and Sriracha sauce. They were really good! I got my Setup ready on my table. It has my new Alienware 17 Laptop, which is really cool, a good Microphone, my Elgato and my Webcam. Heres a Pic:

Sunday Night, I ordered my Halloween Costume off of Amazon. I did not know what I wanted to be, so I just came up with an idea this weekend. Not a lot of planning, but I wanted to be a creepy clown, because there are a ton of clowns that are in the USA and like being creepy, so that gave me the idea. I found a cool Black and White clown Costume, and it looks cool. It comes with a mask, but I am going to wear an Anonymous mask instead, and It will be so creepy. Im also going to buy a halloween Knife somewhere in Dublin to complete my look:

Tonight (Sunday Night) I am working more on "The Project of Me" Since It is due Tuesday. I should have it done after Monday night passes. After I do each of the Places I have traveled, I just have the topic, Moving to Dublin, then I will probably have a page of funny pictures at the end of the blog.

Golfing, "The Project of Me"

Thursday, I continued to work on "The Project of Me" that is due Thursday October 11. I started it Tuesday, and I have the Introduction done, and my Old Schools done. I plan to work on it a lot this weekend. Anyways, Thursday, I had to wear my uniform. We did not have History Today which was not fun because History is my favorite class. English, we finished Donny Darko.

Donny Darko was set back in the 1980s but made in like 2006. Its about Donny Darko who like keeps having these weird dreams where he sees "Frank" in a scarry bunny mask costume, and one night, he went outside his house because he was hallucinating that he was seeing Frank, and a Plane Turbine hit his room. If he had not Hallucinated he would have been dead. The rest of the movie is basically he meets a girl, and then at the end, she gets run over by a guy, and he was the one who had the costume. Donny shoots him because he was dating the girl, then he reverses time to let the girl live but this time he stays in his room so the Turbine hits and kills him. The girl lives, but she never remembers meeting Donny, so its kind of sad.

Friday, I had History First hour, and there was a fire alarm. We all went out to the Green Court farthest away, then we went back in. In Spanish, we had a sub, she came in and said the teacher had given us no work, but then our teacher that was suppose to be out, came in and the sub actually had the wrong room, so that was ashame. Then, suddenly in that class there was another fire alarm, but while we were walking to the Green Court AGAIN, we were told it was a false alarm. I had English and Math still before break when I usually eat. English, we watched the end of Donnie Darko again for the people who were not here Thursday. Math, we basically did nothing.

At 1:10 Me, Chance, and Connell went to the Bus stop to go to the Golf Course. We got there and we were doing putting, and practicing hitting. I was getting better at actually hitting golf balls. I was OK a putting. It was pretty fun.

Im working on The Story of Me currently. These are some pictures of the Front page, and some of the Table of Contents and the next page. It is going pretty well so far! I have the weekend and Monday. I still have to talk about my families, my Traveling and my Piano.
