New Camera / Grafton Musicians!

Saturday night, Dom cooked us up some chicken and pasta for dinner around 1 AM. 

We watched the last episode of Black Mirror season 5, it was pretty good but not as good as the previous seasons. 

June 9:

Sunday morning I woke up around 1 PM. I decided to go into town by myself to just walk around and finally purchase a camera for my Interrailing trip that we leave for Thursday morning. I walked down Grafton and saw many people playing music, and a guy who was creating works of art using spray paint. 

I went to JD sports and Urban Outfitters also to buy some shorts and socks. I got 3 pairs of shorts from the two stores in total for Prague and Berlin because it is going to be very hot and I only brought 2 pairs of shorts so now I have 5 in total. I also bought the Panasonic TZ100 Camera for my inter-railing trip. It can record 4K video at 30 fps and 1080p full HD video at 50p and has 5 axis gimbal stabilisation which works very well for recording.

I watched many musicians on Grafton for a bit, and later in the evening I went to Boojum. It is a Mexican restaurant off of the canal that I have never been to so I decided to try it out. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the burrito I got was very tasty. 

I looked outside and it was raining after I finished my meal so I waited until it stopped then I took the bus back to Doms house. 

June 10:

Monday, Dominik and I woke up around Noon so we could go to St. Andrews to meet Max and grab my 2020 vision clothes. 2020 Vision is a brand my friend Max started about a year ago in Dublin. He tried to ship the shirts to me in the US but there were some shipping problems but luckily I got all my t-shirts today. Everybody who wasn't in IB were still in exams so we left after being there for like 30 minutes and went into town. 

Dom and I first off got Ice-Cream at Gino's. 

Then we walked once around St. Stevens green while eating our ice-cream. It was surprisingly sunny today and was quite hot at some points. 

We then went into the Camera store on Grafton so I could buy an extra battery for my camera that I had bought the previous day so I could make sure I never ran out of battery life. After grabbing that we went back to sit in St. Stevens Green for a bit until around 5 PM where we headed down to the Liffey and ended up going to a restaurant called Eatokyo. It is a Japanese restaurant and we ate dinner there. I got a beef starter and a chicken main dish. Both were very good.

After finishing dinner, Dom and I got a bus back to his house. 

Haircut / Party

July 6:

Thursday I didn't really do anything all day we just hung out at the house. Later on in the day I decided to take the bus into town to get a haircut. I got off the bus and walked down the street that my old house was on. I walked past Fitzwilliam Square to the Grafton Barber that I always got my hair cut at when I lived here. I decided to get it cut quite short so that it would be less annoying on our Interrailing trip. The lady washed my hair for me before she cut it. After about 40 minutes it was done and I walked to Grafton street.



I went to a camera shop because I was researching which good cameras to get for travel and to take nice photos and videos because I want a new one for my trip. I asked the man working there and he suggested the Panasonic TZ100 so I looked it up and it looks very nice for the price. I walked through St Stevens Green also.



I went to Subway for dinner, then took the bus back home and Dom and I watched another episode of Black Mirror. Dom made roasted potatoes and shrimp for us Thursday night.

July 7:

Friday Dom and I decided to have another small party so that we could see Rosie since we haven't seen her yet in Dublin. It turned out that she couldn't actually come so it ended up being Dom, Pierce, Me, Carolina and Molly. I hung out in my hammock for a bit before they showed up. 



For Dinner at the party Dom and I made burgers for everyone. We used the same meat that we used to make the meatballs a while back.



It was a fun party, we stayed up pretty late. Molly spent the night in one of Doms many bedrooms since we were up till like 5 AM. 

July 8:

In the morning we woke up around 10 and we had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Dom also made us tea. It was a pretty nice day out so for the majority of the day we just hung out on Dom's trampoline talking and listening to music. 



Around 6 PM we took a bus to Blackrock where we dropped Molly off at the Dart station and Dom and I continued on to Five Guys to meet up with Pierce, Liam and Alec. It was nice to see Alec, he still has Leaving Cert exams he is currently doing. I had a burger and 2 milkshakes. We walked to Pierce's house after we ate and hung out there for a bit. I ended up falling asleep on his bed because I was quite tired probably from only getting 5 hours of sleep the previous night.

July 4:

Today at around 4 PM, Dom and I got on the bus to go to Juho's apartment to say goodbye to him since this was the last day that he would be in Ireland. We went to his room and said hello to his mom and hung out for about 40 minutes. At around 5 PM we said goodbye to Juho and got a bus to Dun Laoghaire to meet Pierce to see the new John Wick movie. 

It was a crazy action movie with tons of fighting, pretty entertaining. After that, we walked to a nearby McDonalds to get some food to eat. I got a lot of chicken nuggets. 

Late at night, Dom made some tomato sauce and then we made some meatballs so we could have it with spaghetti in the future. 

July 5:

We woke up, as usual, around Noon or 1 PM. We had our spaghetti and meatballs for lunch around 4 PM and relaxed until we went into town around 7 PM to meet up with Molly to see the new Aladdin movie. 



We went to the Savoy movie theater on o'connell street. We got there about 20 minutes early so we watched more and more people go into the theater. It was mostly packed by the time the movie started. It was overall a really good movie, Will Smith was a really good Genie despite many people being iffy about him. I still like the original movie better though.

June 2:

In the morning after the party at Doms house, Me, Dom, Pierce and Sophie all woke up and made some breakfast around noon. Pierce and Sophie left after a bit and then Dom and I just hung out at his house for the rest of the day. 

Around 5:30 PM, I went to get on a bus to go into town to meet Juho and Jinho (a good friend of Juho). I met them in front of the Disney store on Grafton street. We walked down Grafton street and went through Brown Thomas to look at dope clothes and shoes. After that we wanted to eat dinner so we walked to a Japanese restaurant called Yamamori. 



I got some sort of chicken on a stick that was very tasty. 



Juho ordered a dessert that we all shared. 

After we all finished eating our food we stayed at the restaurant for a bit to talk. Jinho left sooner or later because he had soccer training the next morning. Juho and I then walked to Gino's to get some ice-cream. 




After we finished our ice-cream we walked to the nearest bus stop by Trinity college and got on the bus. 



Juho got off at his apartment next to UCD and I went back to Doms house. Once I got back, we decided to start the lord of the rings movies. 

June 3:

Today was a very chill day, we didn't leave the house. We did however make some very good food. For breakfast, Dom made some scrambled eggs and bacon and I added some avocado with mine. It was tasty:




Sometime later in the day I told Dom that I wanted to find a place to set up my hammock among the trees in his back yard. It was too difficult to place the hammock between any 2 trees so I decided to climb high in one of the trees to see if I could somehow place it between 2 branches in the same tree. I climbed many feet into the air and found a pretty good spot and was able to set up the hammock.

I climbed down after sitting in the hammock for a few minutes so we could eat dinner. Dom made some very nice pork chops and we ate the mac & cheese he made earlier which was very delicious. 



After dinner, Dom and I continued to watch the lord of the rings movies. We finished The Two Towers and started the final movie but about 30 minutes into it we decided to stop and go upstairs to play Minecraft with Alec and Tony from Grand Rapids. We played for a few more hours then went to bed around 5 AM. 

Back in Ireland!

I flew in and got in around 10 AM. I took a taxi to Doms house, then we talked for a bit and I took a 2 hour nap around 2 PM. After I woke up around 4:30, Dom and I and Pierce were going to meet up with Molly to go to her piano teachers photography exhibit in the city center. We met Pierce and Molly at the Dart station and then walked to the location where the photography exhibit was taking place. We met Mollys piano teacher and looked at some really cool photographs around the room. After a bit we left and ended up bumping into Liam who is a friend of Dom and Alec from the US but is studying in Ireland. All of us ended up going to Brothers Dosirak for dinner (a korean restaurant).

After dinner, and Dom, Molly and I went back to Mollys house for some time to hangout and listen to music and chill. Later that night Dom and I took a taxi back home. 

July 1st:

Today Dom and I went to meet up with Juho. We stopped at his apartment on the way into town and we said hi to his mother. We then went into town and went to Brothers Dosirak again. 

We went to the Korean grocery store after that to buy some stuff, then we went back to Doms house. Juho was quite tired so he took a nap on Doms couch while we went to Dunnes to grab some stuff for the party that night. Once we got back, we made a Frittata for everyone who would be at the party that night. Dom bought a ton of eggs he needed to use up so we used 10 eggs and a lot of peppers to make a dope Frittata. 

We got quite a few people that came to Doms house including Alana, Riddhi, Carolina, Pam, Sophie, Pierce and Juho.
